My inspiration for this creation, made for Incredible India International Cake Collaboration, Hosted by Super Talented Tina Scott Parashar.
Lord Krishna is a focal aspect of Vaishnavism; a dominant way of life in incredible India. Folklore has celestial beings Radha & Krishna a combination of both the feminine as well as the masculine aspects of God . Their eternal love, in the gardens of Vrindavan is legendary known as Rasleela,
Krishna, often referred as ‘Shyam’ bears a dark complexion, which motivated me to work around a dusky backdrop. While the vibrant Vrindavan Holi induced the use of colors. Krishna is playing his melodious flute to woo Radha who is on her way back home with earthen pots of butter milk. The enchanting music makes the holy cow gaze enamored with Radha, bewitched by the divine melody !
