Native American Headdress

Hello :) I created this back in 2016, for Cake Masters Magazine’s March 2017 Issue 54 edition. My theme given was Native American fashion. After researching I decided upon using the Plain’s Indians for inspiration. Their clothing was made from animal hides (buckskin) and were decorated with animal fur, feather, shells and colourful beading. The headdresses were made of buckskin, fur, felt, feathers, beading and horse hair and were reserved for the most powerful and influential among the tribe.

A step by step tutorial for this headdress is included in the issue. Hope you like it xx

Cheers,
Tanya

Supplies: fondant wafer paper tylose powder nonpareils dusts piping gel candy melts gels

Tools: ziplock bags cutters wires xacto knife
