Hello My name is Berber from Berber’s Cakes and Moulds.
I live in Coevorden (Netherlands) with my husband Chris and our daughter Liefe.
Making cakes, sugar flower and cake lace/fondant moulds are my hobby’s.
I’m self thought with the help of books and the internet.

I chose to make a Fabergé egg for this collaboration because i was always fascinated by them. They are so beautiful and elegant.
Because i love working with cake lace and make sugar flowers i had to cooperate this in my design. The roses on the front of the egg are hand painted.
In the cake is a self made frame so it can stand on 3 legs.
I really loved working on this collab piece.

The history of the Fabergé egg.
Fabergé eggs are jewels in the form of Easter eggs that Peter Carl Fabergé and his workers between 1885 and 1917 were commissioned by the Russian tsars to serve as Easter gift. Characteristic of the 52 made eggs is that they are each unique and that they are made of precious materials such as gold, Platinum and precious stones.
After the Russian Revolution the eggs where spread over the world: ten eggs are gone, sixteen are owned by individuals, five are held by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and a large number of eggs are in several museums.
Fabergé eggs are very valuable and some are worth millions.
