I sincerely hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Here is a cake I made for a friend who owns a retirement home. Many residents are European and the design was totally up to me …yay…so I thought it would be nice to capture the white Christmas of their youth.
The top tier is like a toasty woollen jumper, handmade from icing. The second tier is a handpainted scene with children collecting presents. And the base tier is wrapped in icing panels of bark with a touch of snow. I loved making the sugar flowers and the peony is inspired by the amazing and talented Jessica MV. Each tier was a different flavour…yummmm
