My first free form topsy turvy cake. The table is vanilla / almond with strawberry cream filling and the tea pot and cupcake are chocolate with ganache filled with raspberry cream filling. The flower vase, flowers, tea cup and saucer are hand crafted from gum paste. The spout was molded from rice treats and covered with fondant (ignore the big crack … darn spout gave me a lot of problems). Happy Birthday Koos J:~D
This cake was a huge learning experience. The first time I put it together it didn’t do so well, so I took it apart and added extra supports and put a double bottom on the tea pot. In the end it worked but it sure gave me lots of worry and stress putting it together.
