Hand made gumpaste rose. These were some of the flowers on my cake that I entered into the fair. – And I won first place & Best of Show on my cake!

I did use an orange and hot pink lustre dust for the leaves. The leaves are also made from gumpaste. I’ll probably buy a leaf mold next time, but this time I went out into my garden, grabbed a few leaves off my rose bushes and pressed the backsides into the gumpaste. I then used my leaf cutter to cut the imprinted gumpaste out. Smoothed/thinned the edges and added a few different green dusts to those.
