When one of my friends asked me to make her wedding cake, I just squealed as I knew she would want something pretty. My brief for the cake, was she wanted a bird cage on the top and something like a cotton and crumb design.
I have been desperate to do a ruffle cake and I knew this was my starting point, oh boy! They take ages!! 8hours!! Phew, and I’d been on a few cake decorating glasses with Helen Ward from @amelieskitchen in Suffolk, she runs the most amazing classes and I’d learnt so much, I wanted to make sure I applied it all the this cake.
