Sugar Geode Topper

The sugar Geode I made today. Actually Isomalt and Rock Candy. The color is a pretty gradient purple but my camera always shows purple as blue for some reason. I made this following Viki Kane’s tutorial on Etsy.

Tools: oval metal molds

Thank you Sandra. For you or anyone else who wants to try this. Her instructions call for cooking the Isomalt to 300 degrees. I found it made the Isomalt too soft and bendable. I tossed the first one away and made the second one by cooking to 350 degrees, much better! It set quickly and firmly.
Here is a link to the tutorial.
