Pippi's Balloon

Pippi's Balloon

This cake is for my last baby who’s turning the big 3 today!! It’s a 7" caramel mud cake filled with vanilla imbc and covered in caramel ganache and sugarpaste….The top tier is a 6" sponge filled with raspberry imbc and milk choc ganache and sugarpaste……The inspiration for this cake came from one of her birthday books which has a lovely pic of a little girl with a bright red balloon!!
I thought I’d try sitting it on a clear acrylic separator to make it look as if it’s floating, but not sure if i’ve achieved that really!!

So classy and nice! but please can i ask in what you put your wires before putting them in to the cake?

Nadine A.

Hi Nadine…..In the UK you can’t put wires directly into cakes, so you need to put them into posey picks which are essentially little plasic tubes…you could probably use thin straws too….as long as they are protected from the cake you’ll be fine….
