The top tier is dark chocolate sponge with chocolate ganache filling, the dripping blood is made from white chocolate ganache which I coloured up red, the middle tier is carrot cake with vanilla cream cheese filling and the bottom tier is vanilla sponge with a vanilla buttercream and summer fruits purée. The bride asked if I could somehow make it look like the cake was bleeding when it was cut so I hollowed out little sections of the cake and filled with the purée. I’m really hoping it got the desired effect but won’t know until I speak to the bride so fingers crossed. The topper was provided by the bride but I would have loved to have had a go at making it myself from gumpaste…..maybe my next project. 😊 It was my 1st attempt at making a wonky cake too. This was hard for me as I usually like things to be balanced and straight (I’m a bit ocd I think) but I was quite pleased with the end result. X
