Together with a few dutch cake decorators I worked on a cake colabration in honor of the work of Vincent van Gogh.

For the van Gogh collaboration I looked at a lot of his paintings.Still I found it very hard to pick one as the inspiration picture to base my cake on.
But then I saw the Donald Duck version of the self portrait of Vincent van Gogh which is actually hanging in the van Gogh Museum Right now.
I have a very playful style, so my idea was born then and there. I just had to make a 3D version of this portrait.I like the fact that on the photograph it looks quite flat. And only when you zoom out or turn the cake you really see how 3D it really is.
