My client called and asked for a a cake for her son to give his dad for his birthday. She requested it be Mickey Mouse themed and say Happy Birthday Daddy. I pondered what to make. The day before I called her and asked if she was OK with her son drawing a picture of what he wanted on the cake and I would duplicate his drawing. She loved the idea and went home and had him start. I know being a parent I would rather receive a homemade card over a store bought one any day! You can make any lavish cake you want but in the end something from the heart means so much more. XOXO
