Do you know how much I love Ombre Colors? This eggless cake was made for my friends daughter’s Pink and White first Birthday party. However, little did I know that the humidity could act as a villain in the making of my butter cream. It was almost 40 degrees here in Sydney and my lovely butter cream was smiling at me and melting slowly. Google came to instant help and all anti humidity recipes called for adding a cup of shortening.I didnt have shortening at my home and it was too late for me to go out for shopping . Finally I managed to play with a bit of more icing sugar and cornstarch. The icing was a bit hard to pipe than my usual butter cream and I was not much happy with the finishing of rosette. Lesson Learnt: Always stock Shortening during summer at your home
