This was made for my mums friend as a surprise. I was set the challenge of creating an open hat box cake with pink roses and flowers popping out. I was initially quite worried I wouldn’t be able to do it but I LOVED making this cake, it’s perfect.

Needless to say everyone who saw it was really impressed and my friends mum was amazed. Such a wonderful surprise. I’m so glad we decided to go for an open lid rather than a closed lid. I wouldn’t change it. Can you tell I’m proud of it?
