I just LOVE the Art Deco concept & colors of this cake! So elegant & unique, just like the incredibly lovely recipient, who is one of the most stylish women I know! The top tier is vegan AND gluten-free, so it is very soft & unstable,& it was trying to collapse on me! Eeek! Fortunately, reinforcing it with the central dowel rod stabilized it & it survived the long delivery. The initially-perfectly-smooth buttercream ended up all bumpy, but thank goodness sequins are forgiving!

The top tier is chocolate vegan & GF cake with vanilla vegan frosting, coated in candy sequins & airbrushed silver. Wafer paper feathers & a gorgeous brooch, made from Marvelous Molds. The middle tier is Caramel Apple Cake with Salted Caramel Buttercream filling, white chocolate ganache. The glam ribbon is, of course, not edible, but the onlay & top treatment are fondant. The bottom tier is Red Velvet Cake with White Chocolate buttercream filling & dark chocolate ganache. I used the ‘Edna’ mold from Marvelous Molds to create the lovely architectural effect on the sides.
