Princess Bling Cake for Lauren

Cake by cakesbyraewyn posted 355 days ago 1334 views 5 times favorited 9 comments Add to Favorites

12” Caramel mud with caramel ganache with an 8” white choc mud with white choc ganache. Quilted top tier and board, bottom tier is stencilled in black shimmer dust. Tiara is royal icing and fondant. Everything is edible except the crystals.
This cake gave me a lot of grief! Virtually nothing went smoothly and it took almost 2 weeks to make everything with so many details and things that needed to me made step-by-step and dried in between. Looking forward to doing another tiara as I learnt a lot as this was my first. I used the pattern by the wonderful Missyek from CC.
Thanks for looking :)

Absolutely to DIE for!!! This is fabulous Raewyn – you are so talented! I adore it. Everything is spot on – the colours, the patterns, the tiara, heel and bag! Amazing! How on earth do you stencil with shimmer dust??? I am so frightened of stencilling bug your amazing work is really inspiring me to give it a go! Just beautiful x

Oh wow! Thanks Kate & Benni! You know how we get when things don’t go exactly as we had planned, perhaps with some sleep I won’t be quite so critical. You know to cap it all off, it poured down here for the first time in months and it got a few raindrops on it…you have to laugh or you’ll cry. Thanks girls <3 xxx

I know that all to well Raewyn. Really gorgeous I’ll have to get steniciling lessons from you as I still need a lot of work with mine.
