The butterflies are handmade from gelatine and have fondant bodies. The carnations on the top are also handmade and edible. One of the unforeseen effects of the gelatine wings was only seen when a breeze blew through the window. The wings fluttered slightly!

What an amazing effect with the butterflies – they look so real. I have no idea how you have made them, but the cake looks stunning!
