Sugar Spooks is a collaboration of cake artists from around the world that came together to celebrate their favorite holiday with gory, scary and twisted sugar creations.

My contribution is “Alice stuck in Wonderland”. While Alice was enjoying the tea party with the Mad Hatter, something went wrong and everybody disappeared, then the teapot and the teacups turned into creepy crawlers and Alice was thrown in a dark room all alone….This cake has a little bit of the things I love. Alice, old English china and creepy bugs. I got the melting teapot idea from ceramic artist, Livia Marin’s work. ( http://liviamarin.com/ ) I really enjoyed making the centipede and spider look like porcelain.
