My first commission was successful! I made this cake for a colleague wife’s 25th birthday . Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to personalize it more than adding her name, as it came in last minute, and I had to finish it in one day. Nonetheless, I am very happy with the result and so I hope is the birthday girl! The cake is a classic chocolate cake (see recipe), covered with nutella hazelnut buttercream and pink fondant. I decided to make a ruffle effect this time for covering the main cake, and then top it with black and white flowers (I am not sure what the flowers are exactly, but I was going for poppies style).
