Made this cake for my niece’s high school graduation. Only thing she requested was ZEBRA…i’m so not the fan of zebra…and this was only my second zebra print cake. Since her school colors are maroon, white and grey, I went with the maroon and white zebra instead of the classic black and white. Oh the things you do for your family right! In Hawaii we give leis at graduation time, so being that this cake was going to Tennessee, I had to add a little Hawaii Lei look with the gumpaste plumerias. She was in the the high school marching band and played the clarinet, the hat was about as close to their uniform hat as I could get!
