I know, I know another painted buttercream cake. There is a method to this madness – trying to see how much I can layer colors and how they will take on the buttercream. My taste-testers are very pleased with this process since I can’t really practice it on dummies! Haha! You might notice there is a 4 tier picture and the rest are 3 tiers – I was having issues with lighting in the evening but my kids just could not wait any longer to test the Dark Molasses Gingerbread cake recipe I was trying out.So, the bottom tier was sacrificed to appease our tummies and the rest of the pictures were put off until better light the following day. All buttercream cake painted with straight gel food coloring – the colors did great and as long as it was nice and cold during the painting, no issues with pulling up buttercream. Thank you for looking!!
