This cake was made for the most important woman in my life, my friend, my confidant, my go to girl, my Mum.
Consisting of 7" and 6" double barrels, topped with an edible sequins encrusted 5". ( my thanks to Kara’s couture cakes for the wonderful tutorial on how to make them! ) The cakes themselves were ultimate chocolate and raspberry and white chocolate and raspberry cake. Using a combination of white, dark and raspberry ganache to fill and coat.
They have all been covered in my modeling chocolate. The poppies that adorn it have been crafted from wafer paper and modeling chocolate. ( I have to say, I am loving the way this medium lends itself to the delicate petals of flowers! )I hope you all like it ♡
