Anniversary cake done for a local cake competition. The peony is my very first one! I was very pleased with how it turned out! I modeled it after a beautiful Japanese yellow tree peony. The cake has hand-pressed quartrefoil pattern on the top and bottom tiers. The middle tier has hand-cut quartrefoil panels with “25” and “S” for 25th anniversary and the first initial of the couple’s last name. I painted silver “ropes” around the base of each tier.
