My Cake International wedding cake entry

Here is my cake international 2014 cake entry. Seven tiers in total, with one tier supporting the stand at the bottom. This cake travelled to the Excel Centre, London by plane, train, taxi and then a 10 minute walk to the venue. The bottom two tiers travelled in the airplane hold, the other five had a seat on the plane next to me. Sadly, it did get damaged at the back, but not surprising really. Feed back from the judges was good, in general they liked the cake, but not the frame in front, it detracted from the cake. I also lost marks for the damage. This was my first competition, so I was very proud to be awarded a bronze for this cake. I hope you like it. Sam. Facebook – Samantha’s cake design

Beautiful cake. You have nerves of steel. I know I wouldn’t go to the lengths you took travelling to enter a competition. Hats off to you!!!!
