Sometimes you put your heart and soul into a cake. I made this cake for my niece’s first birthday. I wanted so much for the cake to turn out perfect, but I learned sometimes cakes do no turned out as planned. This was my worst fondant covering job to date. I learned a lot about fondant. I discovered the joys of air bubbles, cracks, elephant skin and saggy fondant all in one day. My stacking job failed after a three hour trip to colorado. Basically if it could wrong it did go wrong. The funny thing is that it really didn’t matter when I saw the look on Willow’s face. It tasted great and I loved how the characters turned out. Lesson learned.
