These are some of the progress shots from the making of my Ranunculus Tutorial that I just uploaded to my FB page (see link below).

I am by no means an expert at sugar flowers (in fact they often frustrate me!) however, I received a tremendous amount of positive feedback when I made these for my Christmas cake, along with expressed interests in a tutorial, so I decided to create one for those who like and may want to try their hand at making them.

So this is my version of a ranunculus flower, which is a method I developed after studying many sugar ranunculus and trying out a few other tutorials. I found that this method gave me the result I wanted which were ranunculus that had thin, veined petals and a pleasant cupped shaped that wasn’t overly crowded looking. I hope you enjoy!
