Single Buttercream Poinsettia cake

Frost 2-layer 8-in. round cake in BC & smooth. Make wave pattern on sides of cake, but dipping icing spatula in very warm water, and starting at base of cake and waving back and forth up to top of cake.. continue until you reach all the way around cake. I used #22 BC swirl pattern boarder on top edge and bottom edge. Then I put another layer inside top edge in swirl pattern, then star pattern on top of inside upper swirl boarder.
I used #352 leaf tip in 2-tone red BC for flower petals. Pull from center to outer edge. Centers w/ yellow grass tip and then #3 green tip dots on top of yellow center randomly.

  1. green leaf around edges of flower.
