I wanted to create a cake that had an ethereal feeling to it. I airbrushed the color on, blocking out areas with paper snowflakes to create a shadowy effect . I then added wafer paper snowflakes and gelatin “sequin” snowflakes on the top tiers. The snow flake tier was wafer paper snowflakes cut out with a craft punch. The bottom petal tier was hand embossed to look like drifts of snow. The reindeer is molded gumpaste.

I agree, and those snowflakes are amazingly fabulous.
Are the snowflakes edible? They are so delicate.
