The picture of the safari cake above is mine, and is by no means done by the method of the heart. Having said that, I cannot see that the tutorial on the heart is correct. The hearts are lying on their sides in the demonstration, so if you cut that cake as is shown in the end result, they would not be standing on their points, but lying on their sides. Please correct me if I am wrong, but that is how it appears in the tutorial photographs. Maybe it is the pictures you have, but to me the hearts look like they
are on their sides.
