Great tutorial, thanks for sharing! I never thought to leave the dowels in the bottom tier sticking out a bit so you can get your fingers out of the way! Thats the part I really hate!
Maybe I just cant wrap my head around it, but if you have a center dowel through the cake and make a sudden stop, whats to say the cake still wont move forward and shift around the dowel?
