Thanks. I love naked cakes! I normally cut and layer up/fill each tier the day before the wedding. I brush a syrup coat onto each cut layer with a simple sugar syrup of caster sugar and water. I cling film them loosely, then box each tier individually. Then on the day of the wedding I try to set the cake up as close to the start of the reception as possible. It normally takes me an hour to set up so if they are entering the room where the cake is at 4pm I set up at 3pm. Obviously this may be a little more difficult for you as the bride!
