Saw a picture of a cake on-line yesterday with a similiar technique. I couldn’t figure out how the “pleats” were done. When I got home that darn cake was still on my mind…this is my version.

Thanks everyone. The pleats were done by cutting fondant in triangles, folding the edges and applying in a counter clock wise direction.
