Absolutely beautiful!! I really don’t know how the judges mark the wedding cakes. This is stunning, a gold in my eyes, yet there were some golds that totally baffled me!! I was going to enter the wedding cakes in March, but it’s put me off as I don’t know what they’re looking for :-/

i admired this cake and have a picture of it as well, great use of skill, in response to the comment above the judges have a score sheet and each competitor has to score above 90% to get gold on their category, they look at design, originality balance, and above all perfection! if you do a simple but flawless design that show originality and is creative then you are going to score high on their chart! its not about which cake looks the best its a complex judging system there are many things they look at! being a gold award winner this year, and having people (hurtfully) say they don’t understand the judges decision has been hard, particularly when i worked really hard on it!! congratulations on the bronze award you really deserved it and more! :)
