I made this cake as a surprise for my Mother’s 80th Birthday Party. What a disaster! When I started on the crumb coat, two sides totally collapsed and it was three hours before the party started.. I patched it together as best I could, and cried the whole time applying the fondant and decor… In the end it all worked out. My mom, sisters and aunts all cried when they saw it. They loved it anyway.
