This cake was made for the lovely actress Rima Kallingal, as a surprise by the cast and the crew of the Malayalam movie ‘Ezhu Sundaraarathrikal’ . She’s getting married to film maker/ director Aashiq Abu on November 1st 2013.Here’s wishing the couple eons of happiness.

The order came in at 3.00 PM from an old friend to whom it is not easy to say no to. And Cake Canvas loves a challenge. The thought process went on till 10.00 PM. Then came the all nighter schedule which lasted till the wee hours of the next day morning. Fortunately a cake was ready and ‘we’ (hubby keeping company watching TV) were immersed in the world of painting, moulding, cutting…… the works (and of course, hubby watching TV). By the next day 2.00 PM, the cake was born. 23 hours from start to finish ! Was present at the venue where the cake was cut, felt good to watch the cake getting demolished in no time by the stalwarts of Malayalam film industry. All of them were so gracious; they sought out the cake maker to render their appreciation…. Blush blush .
