This cake was made to complete a Royal sleepover party theme for a young girls Sweet Sixteenth. The thing I love most about this cake are the bold colour choice. These being watermelon, purple, gold and pink! The gold lace featured on the bottom tier is edible. Crystal lace and lots of glitter was used to make this accent. A little fiddly at first but well worth the perseverance as it truly is a remarkable effect!
The top pillow has the Liverpool soccer team logo complete with hand made sugar gum soccer boots. All of the pillows are accented with bling but these are the only things which are not edible. The three magnolia’s featured all have a gold centre which really made this flower stand out.
A lot of work went into this cake but once was all put together it really made for quite a masterpiece. I am really happy with the result as were the clients. Looking forward to doing this all again sometime in the not too distant future.
