I learned a lot doing this cake. Mainly the right tools to get and use. I did not have a pizza cutter for cutting the base and I also need to get a better pan for baking the cake. I use a glass bowl which made the cake too dry. However, I am excited to make more cakes because this was fun to do. I did make my own fondant which I found to be easy and much better than store bought.

Liacloud, yes it was hand painted. Pretty simply done with using a rounded paint brush and dipping it in leaf green cake food coloring. The fondant I made light green and when I was done painting the lines on the melon cake I dirtied it up a bit with a brown food coloring to make the watermelon look more realistic.

Awww, thanks elli. I love, love, love your cakes!! The tea pot one is my fav, but they all are super great.
