This was a vanilla cake with white chocolate ganache, that I made for my friend’s husband who turned 50. My inspiration came from Guilt Desserts who allowed me to use her design. Thank you Imelda! Thanks also to Nick Ang who put up a brilliant tutorial to make wired figures.
I loved the taste of the white chocolate ganache…..but it was a nightmare to work with. After I spent hours finishing the cake, my fondant came sliding off because the ganache melted! The last picture shows the crack that formed on top. I had to yank off everything and start from the beginning! Was I stressed!
As you guys know ‘stressed’ spells desserts backwards. I’m now eating all that yummy CMTT fondant with loads of white chocolate ganache stuck to it! What a hard life.
