Welcome Home (from Afganistan)

I really enjoyed this cake. A lady contacted me to say she had an idea for a welcome home present for her husband, but after seeing my cakes would like me to make it. She told me what was important to them as a family, and to him in his work so I put all of her thougts together into an idea for a cake.
I’ve not had much experience with figures, but I think I did ok and the lady was very pleased with the result which incorporated the serious elements of his job and fun elements of their family. This is one of my favourites, and a real honour to make.
