I’ve seen so many pictures of ruffle cakes popping up that I just had to give it a go! My eldest grandson broke off one of the butterflies in his enthusiasm to ‘smell grandmas cake’. He is such a sweet but boisterous 4 year old :-) I used my pasta machine to roll out the fondant nice and thin, although this method does dry the fondant out so I had to work quickly! Bit more practice needed, but that’s my favourite part.
