Wedding Cake

This was my first wedding cake. It is very special to me because it was a huge accomplishment for me. Never in a million years would I have thought I could make a cake like this. But the bride-who happens to be a co-worker of mine-insisted that I make her cake; after she saw and tasted my flower fondant birthday cake. 2 tiers were filled with cream cheese buttercream (thanks to Edna Dela Cruz’s recipe) and 1 tier was filled with fresh strawberries. The cake was frosted/covered with buttercream (Sharon Zambito’s recipe.) Watching Edna Dela Cruz’s & Sharon Zambito’s Youtube videos on stacking cakes was a huge help.

The bride loved the cake!!!

Oh…. Did I mention that the bride happens to be a cake decorator herself??? This was the ultimate compliment. Thank you Stacy for believing in me. :)
