Vintage style 40th Burlesque Cake – Frills & Feathers was the request for the birthday girl who’s friends are taking her out for a Burlesque night – but with a bit of class! I took inspiration from Parisienne Burlesque costumes and the piping (Mich Turner style) detail on the top tier is reminiscent of their fabulous jewellery! A classy little number but with some vava voom! Top tier is a layered vanilla sponge with a tangy lemon buttercream & the bottom tier is a chocolate layer cake filled with chocolate ganache buttercream made from Swiss chocolate. So she’s decadent inside & out!
