I absolutely loved making this cake! It was commissioned by my brother in law and his wife to be for their wedding yesterday in Swansea. The wedding had a beach theme and the colours were ivory and teal, so the cake was inspired by the water and waves of the beach and id longed to do silver leaf on a cake, so the top tier was covered in silver leaf to add some special sparkle to their day. The flower on top was a silk flower as it matched in colour and the bride could keep it afterward in her memory box. The cake flavours were vanilla with strawberry preserve and vanilla buttercream, chocolate cake with white chocolate ganache and carrot cake with cinnamon buttercream – and for once i got to have a piece with the happy couple!
