Star Trek Insignia

This cake was a commission from a bride as a surprise for her groom on their wedding day. They had decided to steer away from tradition and chose a stunning wedding cake made from 6 different cheeses. However, the bride wanted to surprise her new husband with a unique Star Trek cake. My hubby added some battery powered lights to the cake base and I managed to sneak in a sugarpaste model of them both snuggled in the Star Trek insignia. I LOVED making this and as I was a guest at the wedding I actually got to eat some cake too!
