A ‘Big Mac’ cake I made for my son’s school leaving party, just before we emigrated from England to California. Yellow cake ‘buns’, chocolate cake ‘burger’ and fondant cheese, lettuce, tomato etc. My mother made each tiny sesame seed out of fondant! The ketchup and mustard was colored royal icing. The fries were sugar cookies sprinkled with sugar before baking and the ‘ketchup’ in the cup was a strawberry coulis.

Thank you! If you ever want to have a go, they’re a sugar cookie recipe I found on the web (can’t remember which one now). I cut them very thin (thinner than I wanted because they spread during cooking), brushed them with egg so they would go shiny and then sprinkled them with sugar before baking to look like salt.
