This monstrously large surf board cake measured in at 48″ × 13″! The surfboard was constructed in three parts – each end is Rice Krispies Treats formed to the surfboard shape. In the middle is a 12″×18″ sheet cake. Buttercream smoothed the joints of this carrot cake and fondant brought it all together. The blue background design was airbrushed on. The flames details were cut freehand from yellow fondant and dry brushed on the edges with red petal dust. The cake border is swirls of three colors of blue fondant extruded and rolled like a swirl to look like water.
