I made this cake at the request of one of my favorite uncles! He gave me the colors and design he wanted and I’m pleased to say he was very happy with it. It was 6”, 9”, 12” vanilla pound cakes with dulce de leche filling mixed with chopped walnuts. Each layer is soaked with vanilla and rum simple syrup. I used homemade rolled fondant colored with teal wilton gel colors and chocolate rolled fondant for the circles. The stars on the topper were made with the same fondant with some tylose powder for sturdiness.
