I made this cake for a beautiful little girl whose parents had just been through a nasty divorce because of child abuse from the father’s side. The client, Julia’s mom told me that she just wanted the most beautiful cake for her beautiful daughter that had been through so much. her daughter’s favourite doll is this particular Lalaloopsy doll and she dressed as the doll for her party. Sometimes the people I make cakes for creep so deep into my heart, it’s hard to keep emotions in. I cried so much about the situation after the client left! Shoo, makes you think how good your life actually is. :)
The cake itself was 60cm tall.

so pretty! That little girl must have been thrilled. I’m like you. I cannot stand to hear of any child being abused in any way. I cry like a baby. My husband makes fun of me because I will cry during movies, news casts etc.

Sam, it is beautiful! Lovely job! And I’m right there with you…sometimes, I just want to make cakes for people struggling with horrors I’ve never even dreamed of (just wish I had a billionaire in the family who REALLY liked me to help fund it :) Count my blessings every day…
