Nephew's 13th Birthday Shoe Cake

My 13 year old nephew wanted a new “custom designed” pair of shoes for his birthday. He was so excited about them that I knew exactly what his 13th birthday cake HAD to be. HIS SHOES!!! His actual shoe is the one on the left in the picture of the two shoes..the other is the cake. I know that I could have made the cake much more detailed if I had the time..you see he spent the night with us the day before his party so I had to sneak around and work on the cake when he wasn’t looking. All in all I think I might have gotten in around 1 1/2 hour to sculpt, frost and decorate.
