Petal Affect Birthday Cake

First time making a petal affect cake. Made for my sons girlfriend Megan. Was a little disappointed with the icing. It tasted great, but think I beat it too long and incorporated too much air. When I was piping, there were little holes. The birthday girl, of course, didn’t notice. Gumpaste fantasy flower with a button centre to match the shoe.
I tried a new flavoring in my icing that I found at my local grocery store imported from the carribean. It is a mixture if vanillia, lemon, cherry & orange flavors. I made 2 batches of icing. One with the cairribean flavoring, and one with pina colada. Went over very well, and tasted great….. yum…yum
